Pocrastination 101.

supMore often than not we find ourselves admist a bundle of ends to tie, with no time to lose, and with absolutely Zero energy to figure out which end to start tying.

At times like these that the internet outshines everything else.

Below are a personal favourite to asssisting me in my endless quest to Procrastinate, in no particualr order.

1. Flash Games.

who can deny the fun of endlessly trashing an endless games created simply and effectively on
flash?

One of the better sites that i've frequented is Newgrounds.Com. It is a Flash portal where almost everyone from every corner of the earth uploads their hardwork so that critics like everyday u n me can tear it apart with comments.

On a side note, they offer a large variety of games and short flash-clips that would entertain u to no end.

Another webbie that made its way into my favourite Flash Game portal is KillTheZombies.com. This is a flash portal dedicated to bringing u the best in zombie-killing flash-game midi-music pumping action.

The best i've sampled so far would most probably be EndlessZombieRampage. In case u r wondering, it really is endless. Nontheless providing sheer (innocent?) fun for all ur procrastination needs.
And yes, it really is pretty much endless.

2. YouTube

Need i say more?

3. Happy Tree Friends

What better way to spend your time than to watch horrific accidents happening to cute little mammals that rejuvenates infinitely? Honestly i think deep down we are all sadistics..

4. Online Comic

Online comic is perhaps one of the best things that has happened to fans like me who can't get their hands on the latest copy of Manga that hits the shelve.

Among my favourite websites are KuKuDm.com it is a mandarin portal where they provide free scanslation of popular Japanese Manga properly translated into Mandarin.

There are english webbies too, such as Onemanga, also a place where scanslator will ocntribute scan and translated Raws of Manga. Also for free.
At the moment im so obsessed with the Monster Hunter Manga..

And of course to the great Bleedman who did a great doujinshi of the THe WHOLE FREAKIN CARTOON NETWORK!. You can find his other works as well as his crews at Snafu-Comics.

Not to forget, my first and still my favourite MegaTokyo! Centered around 2 Otakus who are trying their best to understand love and getting their ass out of Tokyo.. art and story by Piro and Dom. The art works only get better as the story progresses..!

Last but not least is VGcats.com by Scott Ramsoomnir. Its largely poking fun on the video game world with two cats whose character were inspired by Scott's own pair of kitties. Laughters ensured if u are familiar with the video game world and history. Sadly the website is seldom updated nowadays.. pfft.

5. Blog-Hopping

Blog Hopping has recently became one of the few little things i do when i've nothing to do online. Reading your friend's blog to see how he/she is doing, then hopping on the their friend's, and their friend's friends, and their.. u get the idea.

Of course there are a few bloggers who are well reknowned and have a reputation on the net, such as KennySia, whose blog brings about issues regarding Malaysia with a hint of fun with Photoshop.

So there u go my friends the top 5 things to do online to Procrastinate (in no particular order). And no naughty things do NOT go on this list. i repeat, do NOT.

Well since there is already a Top 5, i think i should go for the full 10.. well.. mayb after i checked for new updates on Monster Hunter Orage.. and after some games.. and after some happytreefriends..

oh well till next time.

Frank Miller's "Batman Year One"

Alright i admit.. its been so long since i last blogged that i even forgot my blog's URL.. nevertheless.. better late than never right? right?

well shits been hitting the fan pretty hard.. but more on that later..

Frank Miller. Does anyone NOT know who Frank Miller is? the main player behind "Sin City" and whose adaptation of the 300 Spartans gave us 300-the movie, which pumped testosterone into every male homo sapiens who watched it. Frankly, any guy who hasn't watched it for at least three times is deemed unworthy to carry the male sign, and thus having his membership revoked.

That aside, "The Dark Knight" had been a very disturbing sequel to the great "Batman Begins". Nevertheless another benchmark of movie-making history right here. The interpretation of The Joker is nothing short of fantastic and its too bad Heath Ledger had to move on before getting his Grammy..

So what happend when Frank Miller meets Batman? well, u get "Batman Year One", and i'm lucky enough to stumble upon this youtube upload by Willustration.net on their adaptation on Frank Miller's "Batman Year One"

Needless to say they properly brought out and enchance the style and technique of story telling really well in this clip.

Well i'll just let u guys be the judge.. enjoy!

Till then im looking forward to The Spirit..! December 25th..!

Seriously whats with the red tie? lol

The KanKuChou Bird

*clicky for a bigger image*

This is a parable that my dad like to relate to me when i was younger.

Originally this is a parable from the Philosophy of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism.. hehhe
The parable is about the Kankuchou bird that lives in the mountains in Japan.

As you may have guessed.. yup.. the moral of the story is to NOT procrastinate! Do what you can today. And if you can manage it, do the things for tomorrow, today!

Life is short, youth is precious. Treasure your youth and use it to the fullest!

Intrusion of Private Space.

I'm pretty sure this happens to many of you sad, silent victims out there..
Lets say u had a rough day, and its finally time to take a break, chill, and fill up ur stomach in a random restaurant or food court.
Just as you are about to savor your wonderful meal, out of the blue some nice guy just shoves a handful of product into your face, and starts introducing the wonderful weight loss gel that is guaranteed to burn of your excess fats (terms and conditions apply)!

After u politely say "no, thank you" (some of us prefer to shake our heads..) these friendly peoples continue to pester and convince u to buy a product that either u dont have faith in, looks crappy, sounds too much like a scam, etc.

When u finally get this guy off ur back, and proceed with ur lunch, another do-gooder pops up and demands that you do a "small amount of donation" in the form of "10 ringgit only" while showing pictures of starving kids looking longingly at you thru souless eyes.

This is the point where either u r pissed off at not being able to enjoy ur wonderful meal, or the fact that u suddenly feel guilty for being able to fill ur stomach whilst these unfortunate kids gets their photo taken without any food in their stomach.

So in the end.. what happens? either u fork out "a small amount for the sake of charity" and hope that the amount u donated will reach the poor, hungry, souless kids rather than the "charity organization", or u choose to ignore and let them cast judgmental glances at u whole u continue to TRY and savor whats left of the enjoyment in ur meal.

Whats the deal with these people? Sure MAYBE they're trying to do something good for the community.. but this doesnt mean u can butt in during my private time (yes, i consider my lunch time a private time where i dun wish to be bothered by strangers who wants a bite of my food) to sell me something i dont need or to make me donate to an organization that i never heard of.

While this doesnt seem like a big deal.. yet.. sooner or later these direct salesmen or charity-obsessed strangers will try a more aggressive tactic.

Observe.

Somebody help us...

Opening Ceremony

Hello n Welcome blablabla etc to the Talking Brain!

Well i've been thinking about creating a blog for a very long time now.. and has always procrastinated due to laziness on my part.. hmph.

The Talking Brain is a blog that I hope will be able to share what my brain has longed to tell the world, and is a place to let the brain talk, per se, rather then letting the mouth do all the work. And as we all know, the mouth never really do a good job of talking. It just somehow messes things up.

The blog title is supposed to be thetalkingbrain.blogspot.com.. and for some reason either someone else took this brilliant idea away from me, or blogspot is being up-tight about using similar words.

Can u imagine bloggers in the future? lets say we take a random bloke's name, Aaron for example. His blog names would have to be:

1.Aaron55671_Yay
2.556_aaron_2001
or
5316541531f53gh65241553r1wdg165425aaron

well, u get the picture.

so this is also a shoutout for future bloggers to start investing in a blog name first, least u decide to host ur blog on another, more available site.

guess i'll keep this post short. Check back for updates.

Heres a cheers to the longevity of this blog *gulps a glass of liquor*

Heres another to the success of this blog *takes another*

This is to my friend Cindy who inspired me to blog *one last one*

And also to blog who just started a Jacky too *takes a swig from the bottle*

Ok visiting thanks for guys! *burp*
