Intrusion of Private Space.

I'm pretty sure this happens to many of you sad, silent victims out there..
Lets say u had a rough day, and its finally time to take a break, chill, and fill up ur stomach in a random restaurant or food court.
Just as you are about to savor your wonderful meal, out of the blue some nice guy just shoves a handful of product into your face, and starts introducing the wonderful weight loss gel that is guaranteed to burn of your excess fats (terms and conditions apply)!

After u politely say "no, thank you" (some of us prefer to shake our heads..) these friendly peoples continue to pester and convince u to buy a product that either u dont have faith in, looks crappy, sounds too much like a scam, etc.

When u finally get this guy off ur back, and proceed with ur lunch, another do-gooder pops up and demands that you do a "small amount of donation" in the form of "10 ringgit only" while showing pictures of starving kids looking longingly at you thru souless eyes.

This is the point where either u r pissed off at not being able to enjoy ur wonderful meal, or the fact that u suddenly feel guilty for being able to fill ur stomach whilst these unfortunate kids gets their photo taken without any food in their stomach.

So in the end.. what happens? either u fork out "a small amount for the sake of charity" and hope that the amount u donated will reach the poor, hungry, souless kids rather than the "charity organization", or u choose to ignore and let them cast judgmental glances at u whole u continue to TRY and savor whats left of the enjoyment in ur meal.

Whats the deal with these people? Sure MAYBE they're trying to do something good for the community.. but this doesnt mean u can butt in during my private time (yes, i consider my lunch time a private time where i dun wish to be bothered by strangers who wants a bite of my food) to sell me something i dont need or to make me donate to an organization that i never heard of.

While this doesnt seem like a big deal.. yet.. sooner or later these direct salesmen or charity-obsessed strangers will try a more aggressive tactic.

Observe.

Somebody help us...

true loh true loh! damn sien.
i formulated a perfect answer for these 'do-gooders'
'Give me the name of your organization, and I will donate directly to them'
Them if they still insist you donate through the, you start crapping that haiya these days usually not sure if the donations will reach the organization 100% blah blah.. hahahah.
